簡介：河馬本在非洲，怎會流落南美？又怎說起人類語言，叩問我來自何方、為何講話、為何被殺等大哉問，仿佛是位哲學(xué)家？70年代，哥倫比亞毒梟走私河馬，圈養(yǎng)在家當(dāng)寵物。毒梟死后河馬逃竄荒野、繁衍成群，政府認(rèn)定數(shù)量失控、批準(zhǔn)獵殺，佩佩成為美洲史上第一只被槍殺的河馬。本片以佩佩的死后獨(dú)白為舵，駕駛狂想飛船穿梭時(shí)空，上溯當(dāng)年莫名渡海來異鄉(xiāng)，下述偶遇人類引誤解，并將河馬的外來種命運(yùn)化為隱喻，折射出階級、殖民、獨(dú)裁等多重命題。
